Four more companies have joined the Genuine Jersey Products Association (GJPA) – more than doubling the number of members since the beginning of the year. The Association now has 44 members compared to just 20 at the beginning of 2004.

Genuine Jersey Members get into the Christmas Spirit

Members of the Genuine Jersey Products Association (GJPA) will help launch the Island’s Christmas celebrations as part of Jersey Tourism’s annual week-long La Fête dé Noué event which begins this Saturday (November 27th – December 5th). Islanders and visitors will be to sample Genuine Jersey festive fayre and buy a variety of Christmas gifts and goods produced by members of the Association.

Jersey Farmer Imports Sheep To Improve The Quality Of Local Lamb

Jersey’s largest sheep farmer, Diane Best has imported 11 new sheep into the Island to improve the quality of locally-reared lamb. Diane, who farms at Le Pavillon in St Martin, is Genuine Jersey’s only lamb producer and the arrival of ten ewes and one ram has expanded her flock to 87 sheep.

Hoteliers Enjoy the Delights of Home-Grown Produce

Leading tourism professionals will be served a Genuine Jersey meal tomorrow to raise awareness in the trade of the quality and diversity of local produce. Sixty members of the Skal Club – which represents the Island’s travel industry – will enjoy a four-course lunch at the Highfield Country Hotel on Thursday, October 14th which will be prepared and served by twenty-two catering students at Highlands College alongside the hotel’s restaurant staff.

Genuine Jersey Gets Middle East Seal of Approval

A founder member of the Genuine Jersey Products Association (GJPA) has won an international contract to supply a new luxury seven-star hotel in the Middle East with hand-made local produce. The award-winning Jersey Pottery will provide the entire range of dinnerware for a prestigious hotel in Abu Dhabi which opens later this year.
