Jersey Dairy is a voluntary cooperative made up of 26 of the Island's Dairy Farmers. First established in 1954 with the intention of securing a fair price for the milk produced by their herds Jersey the cooperative has been responsible for bringing a range of products to both the Jersey and export markets.
As well as supplying Islanders with healthy and delicious milk, the Dairy is committed to developing and marketing products, both locally and further afield, which give consumers a real taste of Jersey, often imitated but rarely equalled.
The Dairy is dedicated to supporting dairy farming in the Island thus preserving the Jersey cow in its Island home. The Jersey herd is almost certainly the purest bred cattle in the world, having been protected by a ban on the cross breeding of milking dairy cattle in the Island.
The Dairy holds the ISO9001:9002 and BRC quality standards and Soil Association accreditation for the production and packaging of organic milk.
