A traveler at heart, Joanna found herself in the Rajasthani desert many years ago surrounded by the most stunning silverwork she’d ever seen. Thus began a journey into the world of metal smithery and alchemy, a voyage that would take her all over the world…
But we’re getting ahead of ourselves. Back to India… Joanna found herself a master silversmith teacher in Ravi Sudeep, and followed him to the Himalayas to immerse herself in the magic of molten metal. There a passion was forged, a fervor to find and capture the spirit and soul of each world to which she travelled, and somehow communicate her findings in metal.
Soon her wanderings led her back to the UK, where she discovered a modern technique of working with the highest quality of silver possible. The material is painstakingly applied, layer by delicate layer, into the grooves and valleys in the vein of a leaf, the whorls of bark, or any other faerie which flutters into Joanna’s periphery. After a bit of embellishment, a very hot flame, and a whole lot of friction, Joanna’s pieces are stunning to stay the least.
Each piece is absolutely unique, meticulously hand-crafted and made of solid, 99.9% pure silver. Every piece is tested for quality and hallmarked for purity in London before sale.
