As a local tour guide for Jersey Tourism he gains inspiration from the Island ’s maritime influences and seashore surroundings. His use of materials includes mostly solid timbers which are complemented with metals, hand-made papers and stained glass. Remi Couriard is a designer and maker of fine furniture. Born in Jersey, he gained extensive experience in New Zealand of crafting bespoke furniture before moving back to the Island in 1997.
Remi also works on architectural and corporate projects for a number of clients in the private sector. His own distinct range of designs includes: interior tables, chairs, beds, benches, cabinets, exterior sitting benches, patio furniture and heraldic coats of arms.
