Ms June Gould.

June Gould is a local potter who trained at Harrow College of Art & Design, & Goldsmiths College in London.

June makes both hand-thrown, functional stoneware, & Raku Sculpture, which is a Japanese kiln firing technique, based on 'Zen Buddhism' & producing pieces with a blackened body & metallic glaze appearance. This tends to be June's preferred method for her exhibition work which she displays in Jersey and London.

Her work is design conscious and unique and is inspired by her local environment, St. Ouen's Bay & the sea.

Visitors can view her range of work, by appointment, which includes large platters & bowls, oval bowls with glass in their base; a selection of jugs, plus the traditional Jersey milk churn jug with Jersey/French 'ditons' – or sayings on them.

June's work is also shown at 'the Harbour Gallery' in St. Aubin, & 'Fishes & Beads' in St. Brelades. She also regularly exhibits and sells her work at the series of highly successful Farmers and Craft Markets run by Genuine Jersey during the summer months in St Aubin.
