Jacki has been making jewellery for about four years. She often works with raw silk, which is dyed before being beaded or handpainted and formed into tiny cushions, which in turn are sewn onto crotcheted wire to create unique chokers. She also makes delicate butterflies that, once again, having been sewn onto wire dance at the base of the throat. That Jacki used to make wedding cakes is obvious from the reoccurring choice of heart, flower and butterfly motifs in many forms of her jewellery.
Jacki also makes guardian angel pins, each no bigger than a 5p piece. As each one is made completely by hand, no two will ever be entirely alike. She enjoys making them with a variety of hair, skin and eye colours. Over the past year, the angels have flown to many places around the world, including Norway, Japan and New Zealand as they have been bought by visitors to Jersey or sent to friends and family living abroad. |

As well as working with fabric, Jacki uses polymer clay decorated with a variety of lustre glazes. She has begun working in silver clay and has recently completed working on a pair of cufflinks in the shape of Jersey Royal potatoes, scattered with confetti - a commission from an Amercian gentleman to commemorate a wedding he attended in the Island.
