Rosemary Blackmore

Rosemary Blackmore was educated at The Jersey College for Girls after which I gained a B.A. Hons degree in Fine Art from Bath Academy of Art. On her return to Jersey, she worked in the design department of The Jersey Pottery for some years.

She paints mainly in watercolour, concentrating in particular, on the Jersey cow. She also paints murals in hotels, restaurants, private homes and the airport where she was commissioned to paint two large murals of Jersey Cows.

Another aspect of her work is in textiles, making bags and scarves with

wonderful yarns sourced from Australia and Italy as well as making and

dying her own felt.

Last year she set up a pottery studio at home as she enjoys working in three dimensions is developing a business making wall panels and sculptures in metal and ceramics for garden and home.
